ZAP Abandons American Market

Owners of Zappy electric scooters have been left high and dry by ZAP, the manufacturer of Zappy Pro, Zappy 3EZ, Zap Dude ATV, and various earlier electric products.  On January 24, 2011, ZAP announced its 51% acquisition of Jonway Auto, a Chinese automotive company.  The new entity, renamed Zap Jonway, has refocused its attention on the Chinese market and has abandoned its American customers:  Zappy parts previously offered on its Zapworld website are no longer available.

So what's a Zappy owner to do?  Fortunately, electric scooters are simple machines that most often can be repaired with generic parts. Our parts affiliate, Parts for Scooters, can provide Zappy owners with the parts they need, and can also recommend repair shops across the USA.  Visit the Parts for Scooters website by clicking here.

Parts for Scooters is also available by phone during normal business hours (Eastern time):  866-478-8700 - if you call, please tell them that Electric Scooters Galore referred them to you.
